When the driver steps on the brake pedal, the brake oil in the master brake cylinder will be subjected to pressure, and the pressure will be transmitted to the pistons of the brake calipers of each wheel through the pipeline. After being subjected to pressure, the piston will move outward, driving the brake caliper to clamp the brake disc. In this process, huge friction is generated between the brake pads inside the brake caliper and the brake disc, thereby slowing down the vehicle. Brake calipers are usually located near the wheels and fixed to the axle by bolts. When braking, the brake calipers clamp the brake disc to stop it from rotating, thereby braking the vehicle. Because brake calipers need to withstand huge friction and pressure, they are usually made of high-strength materials to ensure their sufficient strength and durability.
